Alice Popovici began her career in journalism working as a police reporter for a community newspaper in rural Arizona. Since then she has written for Reuters, NPR, CBS, The History Channel, City & State and Smithsonian Magazine, among other publications. In 2012 – 2013 she was a Fulbright fellow in the Republic of Moldova, where she worked on an oral history project about the Soviet era. Alice has a bachelor’s degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
